Opportunity for Impact

We're seeking an experienced Data Analytics Engineer who will maintain and evolve our data architecture while building robust data pipelines to support business intelligence requirements across the organization. In this pivotal role, you'll architect and maintain our data warehouse, design scalable ETL processes, and establish a unified data foundation that enables all stakeholders to access the insights they need to make informed decisions.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise to transform our data infrastructure and empower the organization with actionable insights that will shape the future of women's healthcare. The right candidate will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and implement solutions that will advance our mission to improve women's health and wellbeing during a critical yet often overlooked stage of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain a scalable data architecture that supports the evolving needs of the business
  • Build, optimize, and monitor data pipelines using tools like Fivetran, dbt, and other ETL frameworks
  • Manage our BigQuery data warehouse, ensuring data quality, performance, and accessibility
  • Integrate data from various sources (APIs, databases, external platforms) into centralized data warehouses (BigQuery preferred)
  • Build and optimize data models for reporting, dashboards, and analytical insights across multiple business domains
  • Serve as the technical expert bridging the gap between business requirements and data infrastructure
  • Design and maintain self-service Looker dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights and guide stakeholders during weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics reviews.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage our data assets more effectively across the organization
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, models, and business logic.
  • Act as a strategic partner to stakeholders by translating business needs into actionable analytics and educating teams on effectively leveraging data infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to extract deeper insights from our data to better serve women experiencing perimenopause and menopause, including creating occasional bespoke reports and dashboards
  • Function as the sole data analytics engineer on the team, demonstrating exceptional independence, self-direction, and ownership of the entire data infrastructure and analytics workflow

Requirements

  • 7-8+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering
  • Strong expertise in cloud data warehouse platforms (BigQuery preferred) and ETL tools (Fivetran, dbt)
  • Mastery of web analytics data (Google Analytics, Posthog, or similar)
  • Advanced SQL skills with ability to design and optimize complex queries and data models
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for diverse business needs
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources and ensuring data quality across systems
  • Proficiency with Looker Studio and experience with git/version control
  • Strong communication skills with ability to partner effectively with non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience translating business requirements into data solutions
  • Ability to present insights at both executive and detailed analytical levels
  • Self-directed work style with proven ability to manage competing priorities

Preferred

  • Experience in direct-to-consumer or subscription-based businesses
  • Background in healthcare or wellness industry data
  • Experience building and leading a team of analysts
  • Passion for women's health and wellbeing
